Fancy Pants Farms

Tim and I have always grown a garden, and have canned enough vegetables for the winter months.  We don't use chemical's because of health reasons, and the vegetables taste so much better. We had more and more people asking about the vegetables,so we started FANCY PANT'S FARM.  In 2009 Tim started attending the local farmer market's and had great success with the chemical free local raised vegetables. So this year we have increased the vegetables to 3 acres and added new varieties.

The dairy milk goats have always been part of the farm for the last 19 years, we use the milk for making cheese, yogurt, ice cream plus I raise the baby chick's and turkey's with the milk and whey. We usually breed for spring babies and have a few babies and milkers available each year.

We raise meat rabbits, which can be purchased live or dressed.  The does are new zealand and Californian crosses, which produce a nice size rabbit at 8 weeks of age.

Chickens are feed chemical free scratch, which Tim grinds and are pastured on about 1/2 acres. Turkeys are raised each summer, they are feed goats milk and are pastured with my dairy goats.

The sheep, angora rabbits and pygora goats are the newest additions to FANCY PANT'S FARM.  I always wanted to learn to spin and was able to see a friend spin (I was hooked).  I came home told Tim about the sheep, spinning wheel and yarn, the look on his face was like she wants sheep which means more fences. So we have purchased sheep and angora bunnies, in all different colors.  The pygora's babies came this spring as bottle babies.

SINCE THE KID'S HAVE MOVED AND GROWN WE JUST HAVE FURRY KIDS AT HOME

Fancy Pant's who the farms is named after is a female blue heeler.  She herds the goats and keeps everybody in line.

Chip who is Fancy Pant's personal toy, is a pound puppy of unknown breeding, but he loves everybody.  He doesn't understand why he can't  play with the lambs and kids (thanks to the ewe's and doe's).

This is the newest addition to the Farm "Ranger". He is a Border Collie/Heeler cross, and Chips new friend.

Skippy is Reba's son and pretends to herd the animals, but being 12 year's old he isn't very engeritic till it come's to food.
