SHEEP

ROMNEY'S 

We have decided to raise Registered Romney sheep at Fancy Pant's Farm along with the Shetlands and Icelandic's. They have fast growing lambs and excellent wool.  Romney's are adaptable to any type of grazing conditions.  The Romney ewe's produce high yielding market lambs, and also produce an excellent heavy wool for hand spinners.  We raise White Romney's and Natural Colored, which give us a variety of colors. This year we breed the Romney's to a Leicster  Long Wool Ram which should give us some lovely fleeces. The ewe's are jacketed so the best possible wool will be available.

ICELANDIC SHEEP

At Fancy Pant's Farm we have a Icelandic Sheep. they are one of the oldest and purest breeds of sheep. They have adapted very well to the farming practices here, since they do very well on pasture.  We have a variety of colors to offer for natural colored fleeces and roving. We have increased the Icelandic herd this fall to offer more meat lambs and a larger variety of colored fleeces. The Icelandic lambs are considered a gourmet flavored meat.  We usually have lambs available in the fall.
